The approvals and registrations behind the work.
Every vendor claims to be the best. As advisors who work inside these systems daily and file the returns they produce, we judge every platform on five things that actually matter.
5
Checks every platform has to pass before we recommend it

2027
E-invoicing goes live
The system must issue compliant tax invoices, apply the correct VAT treatment to standard rated, zero rated and exempt supplies, and produce the figures your VAT return needs without manual rework.
From 2027, invoices will flow to the FTA as structured digital data through accredited service providers on the Peppol network. Choose software with a clear path to that connection now, so you are not forced into a rushed migration later.
Your platform should produce IFRS based financial statements and keep the audit trail behind them, because that is what your corporate tax return is built from.
A freelancer needs simple invoicing. A trading company needs inventory and landed costs. A contractor needs project costing. Paying for modules you never use is as wasteful as outgrowing a cheap system in a year.
Subscription price is only the start. Implementation, training, add-ons and support determine what you really pay, which is why we quote the full picture before you commit.
One team handles everything from selection to go live, and every setup is reviewed by a chartered accountant before you rely on it.
There is no single best system, only the best fit for your size, industry and budget. This is how the platforms we implement most often compare.

Bestax is a Zoho Authorised Partner, and we state that openly so you can weigh our advice with full information.
If your current platform is on this list but badly configured, you may not need to switch at all. A reconfiguration is often cheaper than a migration, and we will tell you which one you actually need.
The FTA does not approve your invoices in advance. It checks them afterwards, in an audit, and your software either protects you or exposes you. Properly configured VAT accounting software in the UAE must do all of the following.
5 years
Minimum retention for VAT records
7 years
Corporate tax records — 15 for real estate
28 days
The VAT filing cycle your system must support
We configure all of this as standard, and our VAT return filing team files from the same system, so the numbers on your return always match the books behind them.
Many businesses believe their system is compliant because the box said so. Compliance lives in the configuration, not the logo. Run this five point check on your current setup, it takes ten minutes.
Does it show your TRN, a sequential number and the VAT amount as a separate line?
Does the system apply the reverse charge automatically, or does someone do it by hand?
Do they match what was actually filed?
If anyone can, your audit trail has a hole in it.
The FTA can ask for exactly that.
If any answer worries you, the fix is usually configuration, not panic. We turn loosely installed systems into fully compliant setups every week, and most fixes take days, not months.
Accounting software records money. ERP software runs the whole operation: accounting, inventory, purchasing, sales, projects, manufacturing, HR and payroll in one connected system with one version of the truth. If your team re-enters the same data in three places, if stock counts never match the books, or if month end reporting takes weeks because numbers live in silos, you have outgrown standalone tools.
Implemented well, an ERP system gives you live stock positions across locations, project profitability while the project is still running, approval workflows that enforce your controls, and consolidated reporting across companies and currencies. Implemented badly, it becomes the most expensive spreadsheet you have ever owned. The difference is scoping and setup, which is exactly where an accountant led implementation earns its fee: we design the system around your chart of accounts, your VAT treatment and your reporting obligations from day one, then hand your team a system they actually use. We work with platforms including SAP, Sage 300 and Focus ERP alongside the Zoho suite, and our advice on which one starts from your processes and budget, not from a reseller target.

The market is crowded and every provider will demo beautifully. When you build your shortlist, put these five questions to every provider on it.
Will the system handle UAE VAT, corporate tax reporting and the 2027 e-invoicing connection natively, and can they show you where?
Who does the implementation, the vendor or a subcontractor, and who supports you after go live?
What is the total five year cost: licences, implementation, customisation, training, support and upgrades?
Can they name reference clients in your industry that you may call?
What happens to your data if you leave?
We sit on your side of the table for this process: defining requirements, scoring vendors, checking quotes and managing the implementation. Because we are not tied to the outcome, you get an honest recommendation, including the occasions when the right answer is to keep your current system for another year.

Your system is configured by people who prepare VAT returns and corporate tax filings for a living, so it is built for the reports you legally need, not just attractive dashboards.
Tax Agency Approval Number 30008692, published openly. The team setting up your software can also represent you before the FTA.
That still advises independently.
Implementation, migration and training are quoted as one fixed price before work starts.

Choosing software is a commitment, so we remove the risk. New clients can test our software support services free for 1 month: we help you run your chosen platform, answer your team's questions and show you the monthly reports you would receive, before you pay a dirham for support.
If the value is not obvious by month three, you walk away with your data and no obligation. Ask about the trial in your consultation and we will confirm the scope in writing.

A 30 minute call about your business, your current tools and what is not working. No obligation.
We map your processes and volumes, then recommend a platform with a written comparison of the realistic options and their full costs.
One price covering setup, migration, training and the first months of support. Work starts after you approve it.
We configure the system, migrate and reconcile your data, and run it in parallel with your old process until the numbers prove themselves.
Your team is trained on your own data, and we stay on call after go live so small questions never become big problems.

We believe our work speaks for itself. Our clients say it louder. Businesses across the Emirates trust Bestax to keep their tax accurate, on time, and penalty-free.

Had my first corporate tax filing done through Bestax. They offered a tax planning session that was extremely helpful, especially because I was unsure what expenses could be deducted legally. They kinda guided me through the whole process because, as a healthcare professional, I had no clue how things work around here.
I'm very pleased with the support provided by Athira and her team in completing my Transfer Pricing report and filing the Corporate Tax returns for my company. They are highly responsive, and the quality of their work and reports is truly excellent.
Very smooth and efficient service to open a freezone company. Even while sitting in canada. They are great. Highly highly recommend.
Bestax have been managing my accounts for the past 1 year now and I must say they do an amazing job. My tax returns are always on time and I never faced any penalty.
Maham guided me through the business license renewal process. She even flagged upcoming compliance changes I had no clue about. It’s that extra attention to detail that makes Bestax stand out.
Anusha at Bestax keeps our financials in top shape. Her budgeting advice has improved our cash flow significantly. Highly reliable team!

If your question is not here, ask it directly.
Cloud platforms such as Zoho Books, QuickBooks and Xero charge a monthly subscription that depends on users and features, while ERP systems are priced per project. The real cost question is the total: subscription plus setup, migration, training and support. We quote that full picture as one fixed fee after a free consultation, so there are no surprises in month two.
For most startups and small companies, Zoho Books covers invoicing, VAT and reporting at a low monthly cost, and Xero suits businesses whose advisors or investors already use it. The honest answer depends on your transaction volume, industry and team, which is exactly what the free consultation establishes before we recommend anything.
If your needs are invoicing, expenses, VAT and monthly reports, accounting software is enough. Consider ERP when inventory, projects, manufacturing or multiple companies force your team to run parallel spreadsheets around the accounts. Moving too early wastes money, moving too late wastes months of bad data, and we will tell you plainly which side of the line you are on.
Yes. We migrate customers, suppliers, the chart of accounts, open invoices and historical transactions, then reconcile the migrated balances against your old records before go live. You keep a full archive of the old system, because the FTA can ask for records going back 5 to 7 years regardless of what software they were created in.
The major platforms can all operate as VAT compliant accounting software, but compliance comes from configuration: correct TRN on invoices, correct tax codes on every transaction type, reverse charge handling on imports and a locked audit trail. A perfectly capable system set up wrongly produces non-compliant invoices every day. We check existing setups in a short review and fix what we find.
We prepare for it now. Businesses with revenue of AED 50 million or more must appoint an accredited e-invoicing service provider by 30 October 2026 and go live on 1 January 2027, with other businesses following from 1 July 2027. We map your invoicing setup against the requirements, help you connect through an accredited provider and test before your deadline, so the AED 5,000 monthly penalty for missing the appointment never applies to you.
A standard cloud accounting setup with migration typically completes in two to four weeks. ERP projects run longer, usually two to six months depending on modules, locations and customisation. You get a realistic timeline in the written proposal, and we run the old and new systems in parallel until the numbers prove the new one is right.
Compare at least three providers on five points: UAE tax and e-invoicing capability, who actually implements and supports the system, total five year cost, reference clients in your industry and what happens to your data if you leave. Better still, let an independent advisor run the comparison for you. We score vendors against your requirements and negotiate on your side of the table.
Yes, and it is where most implementations succeed or fail. Your team is trained on your own data, you receive plain language guides for daily tasks, and a support line handles questions after launch. If you also hand us the monthly bookkeeping, the same team that built your system keeps it accurate every month.
